Happy Half Birthday

This Girl.

She has completely, utterly captured my heart.

Today Ellie turned six months old. Six months? Oy. Where has the time gone?

These past six months have been hard. I mean, real hard. But the cliche is true: I wouldn't trade it for anything. Hands down, best six months ever. EVER.

I think back to her birth. How itty bitty she was {seriously, girl looked like a little doll}. How much I loved her instantly. Totally smitten from the start.

New milestones and growth for Ellie have been bittersweet for me. Sometimes I wish I could freeze time. But then I realize I have a hard time letting go and watching her change and grow because the past six months have been so amazing. So amazing. 

And it's all a gift. ALL OF IT. Six months into this whole mom thing and I still think about how lucky we are to be parents to Ellie every single day.

Thank you, Lord, for this sweet girl and the beautiful memories you've blessed us with these past six months. I can't wait to see what's in store.
